The Pacific Communities and NSW Police Force acknowlwdge that there are many factors contributing and representation of Pacific Communities people in the criminal justice system. 

Respected  representative Elder from Tonga, Fiji, Samoan, Niue, Cook Islands and New Zealand Maori. We are work volunteers for the AUstralian Pacific and Maori Community Services Incorporate.

 - Increase cultural awareness among Police and promote improved understanding in the general community.

 - Improve communication

 - Minimise the entry of Pacific Communities people into the criminal justice system

- Reduce the number of Pacific Communities people arrested, charged and or placed in police suctody/ jail.

- Provide appropriate care

 -Strengthen victim support program for Pacific Communities people

Our Focus

- reduce the number of Pacific Communities people entering the criminal justice system and introduce cross cultural awareness program for Law Enforcement Agencies, other Government Agencies and the Pacific Communities.

- improve Pacific Communities relationships

- Law Enforcement and other Government Agencies to gain better understanding of Pacific Communities culture & heritage

- Pacific Communities members to gain a better understanding of police/Law Enforcement practices and procedures.
